OR-Fab now offers rear quarter panel armor for 2007 to 2012 model Jeep JK Wranglers. OR-Fab calls this body protection Gecko Skins because of the way it hugs the contours of the vehicle's body to protect it from damage that can occur on the trail. The new Gecko Skin Rear Quarter Armor is made from 10-gauge steel plate and Jeep owners can choose between armor equipped with a 1.5-inch diameter .120 wall rock slider bar (PN84332 2Dr and PN84342 4Dr), or without the rock slider bar (PN84330 2Dr and PN84340 4Dr). Both styles feature the OR-Fab Gecko cut-out and are designed to fit tightly around the contours of the vehicle. The Gecko Skin Rear Quarter Armor can also be used with factory or aftermarket fender flares, as well as OR-Fab’s Rear Spare Tire Carrier. The armor is available in a durable wrinkle or gloss (BB) black powder coat finish, and comes with detailed instructions, button-head stainless steel bolts and a taillight installation kit.
OR-Fab also manufactures the Gecko Skin Rear Quarter Armor in a raw finish without taillamp cutouts (PN84331 2Dr, PN84341 4Dr) for Jeep owners who want to customize the armor with their own lighting. Jeep owners can further enhance the installation and protection by using OR-Fab’s Gecko Skin Liners, made from precision cut 1/16-inch synthetic rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), that fit between your Jeep’s sheet metal and the quarter panel armor.
