BC4x4.com, one of Canada's leading off-road and four-wheeling websites, recently installed OR-Fab's Jeep XJ Rock Slider Rear Bumper (PN-83209), onto the site's project Jeep Cherokee. The project vehicle already has OR-Fab's front tube style bumper (PN-83203), in which the installation was done in an earlier post on the site. You can see that HERE.
The OR-Fab rear XJ bumper is a modular design that's manufactured using two-inch, .120 wall steel tubing and fits close to the Jeep XJ's body for maximum departure angles. BC4x4.com noted that it worked perfectly with their vehicle's two-inch receiver hitch and liked the fact that the bumper wraps around to protect the rear quarters.
The OR-Fab Rock Slider Rear Bumper fits 1984-2001 Jeep XJ models, and easily installs onto the factory bumper mounts. It also uses 1/4 inch straps that anchor it to the hitch mount, ensuring a solid connection that won’t vibrate or distort under load. The bumper also comes with heavy-duty hardware and is equipped with D-ring mounts and two D-ring shackles.
